Q How soon will I able to view the Online Event?
A That depends on the type of Online Event.

Apple offers three types of Online Events, including Seminars Online, Webcasts, and On-Demand Webcasts. Each type of event has special benefits that help viewers learn about Apple solutions.
Access via 56k modem may not be fast enough to access QuickTime media content, especially real-time streamed video.

Seminars Online
Once you complete the short registration process, you will be able to view the event immediately. Online Seminars provide a rich combination of easily understood, concise forms of information, along with relevant product information and resources. They usually include descriptive textual information, visual representations of products, charts and comparisons, informative illustrations, and videos.

Seminar videos show a variety of useful topics — for instance, screen shots that demonstrate how to use a product, professionals showing how they use particular Apple solutions, and industry experts presenting their opinions and ideas.

Seminars Online are divided into multiple chapters for easier viewing. Chapters may be categorized by solution elements, how-to steps, or aspects of the need that is addressed. Seminars Online may be accessed at any time and completed at your own pace. They make it easy to learn about new products and industry-leading solutions.

Live Webcasts
Once you complete the short registration process, you will be sent a confirmation email with the date, time and url to view the webcast. Live Webcasts provide the opportunity to hear about Apple solutions live from the experts and other key Apple leaders. Apple deploys leading-edge web broadcasting technology to bring multitudes of viewers these real-time experiences. Live Webcasts are scheduled for a specific time and date, when people worldwide can tune in to the video broadcast. Access via 56k modem may not be fast enough to access QuickTime media content, especially real-time streamed video.

On-Demand Webcasts
Once you complete the short registration process, you will be able to view the event immediately. On-Demand Webcasts allow viewers to replay Webcasts that were originally live as a streamed video. This provides the chance for you to see earlier Webcasts according to your own schedule and at your own pace.

Q How can I optimize my Online Event experience?
A While no special knowledge is necessary to benefit from Apple Online Events, these tips can help you get the most from your event experience.

• Begin at the Online Events index page. Here you can browse the selection of seminars and webcasts and find topics that fit your specific needs. For example, you might want to learn about a specific new product, get tips on building your business, or learn how to use a certain Apple technology. Check out the introductory page for each event that interests you. To improve your overall Online Event experience, plan ahead. Set aside a specific amount of time for the event. Read and understand the technology requirements, and think about how your bandwidth might affect video performance. Download and install any required software or updates before viewing the Online Event.

• To view your chosen Online Event, select the Register Now link, which you'll find on the introductory event page. You must fill out a short registration form on your first visit . In subsequent visits, you may be required to validate your registration by keying in the ID and password set up when you first registered.

• After the registration process, you will be taken to the first page of the seminar or Webcast. If you are viewing a live Webcast, the broadcast will begin playing immediately when the event begins. If it is an On-Demand Webcast, click the Play button on the video window to start viewing the video.

• To view an Online Seminar, browse through the seminar chapters. You will have the chance to download and watch the included videos as well. If you wish to stop your seminar viewing part-way through and resume later, you can do so.

• If an Online Event is connected to a special promotion, you can learn more about the details and how to claim your discount or other advantage on that seminar's Promotions page.

• For more information on the event topic, including training opportunities, check out the Resources section.

Q Why are the QuickTime clips in such small windows?
A The QuickTime clips are optimized for faster downloading over non-broadband connections; this means they will be smaller in size. Many of the clips are played in the QuickTime Player, which will allow you to view them at a larger size.

Q Can I save copies of the Quicktime clips in an Online Event?
